Selling Your Home for the First Time

Selling your home for the first time can feel like a lot! Emotions, decisions, timelines, and the big question of “where do I even start?” This is where I come in.

The process doesn’t start with a sign in the yard or strangers walking through your house, it starts with a conversation. We talk about your goals, your timing, and what this move actually means for you.

Some sellers are excited, some are overwhelmed, and some are somewhere in between & all of that is normal and welcome here.

From there, I walk you through what your home is worth, what matters most to buyers in today’s market, and how modern marketing can position your home to stand out. We’ll talk prep, pricing, photos, and strategy in a way that feels clear and doable, not intimidating or judgmental.

I’ll help you decide what’s worth doing before listing and what you can absolutely skip. Once your home is live, I handle the details, communication, and negotiation while keeping you informed every step of the way.

You’ll always know what’s happening, what your options are, and what I recommend with honesty and zero pressure.

Selling your home is a big move, both financially and emotionally, and my job is to protect you, advocate for you, and make sure you feel confident from start to finish.

If you’re thinking about selling for the first time in Western Massachusetts, this doesn’t have to feel scary. With the right plan and the right person in your corner, it can actually feel empowering!

Angie Schermerhorn

I’m Angie Schermerhorn, a Western Massachusetts Realtor with the Stephanie Salerno Team at Coldwell Banker Realty, and I help first-time homebuyers and first-time sellers feel confident every step of the way.

Most of my clients are working moms, independent women, and LGBTQ+ buyers who are doing this for the first time, buying their first home, selling their first home, or stepping into their next chapter. My job is to make the process feel clear, not scary.

I break everything down in real language, advocate hard for my clients, and don’t believe in pressure, fluff, or fear-based tactics. You’ll always know what’s happening, what your options are, and what makes the most sense for you.

Outside of real estate, I’m all about community, good coffee, and a great glass of wine. I’ve lived in Western Massachusetts my whole life, and I truly love the towns I serve and the people who make them feel like home.

Buying or selling a home is a huge move financially and emotionally and I take that responsibility seriously. I’m here to guide you, protect you, and celebrate you when you get the keys (or the check!).

What truly sets me apart is how personal I make this experience. I don’t just open doors, I build real relationships. I stay accessible, I care deeply about what this move means for your life (not just your finances), and I support you long after the paperwork is signed. My clients know they can text me the “silly” questions, the big fears, and the excited wins and I’ll always show up. I always say, “Get ready to have a friend for life.”

If you’re thinking about buying or selling your first home in Western Massachusetts and want a Realtor who’s honest, down-to-earth, and truly in your corner, I’d love to help!
